Silver Pomfret, also known as the white pomfret, is a species of butterfish that has captured the hearts (and taste buds) of seafood enthusiasts in Kolkata. They have flat bodies and deeply forked tails. When cooked, their meat turns firm, white, and flaky, a delightful melt-in-your-mouth experience.
